Mumbai, Jun 29 (PTI) The rupee appreciated 20 paise to 94.25 against the US dollar in early trade on Monday supported by easing crude oil prices, even as a firm US dollar and tepid investor risk appetite weighed on sentiments. Forex traders said the rupee opened on a positive note with oil prices remaining supportive and foreign inflows improving. KARACHI, June 28 (Reuters) – Pakistan’s media regulator has suspended the broadcast licence of television channel Geo News for 15 days over ​content aired during a programme marking Muharram, one of ‌the most sensitive periods in the Islamic calendar. Aizawl, Jun 28 (PTI) More than 46,000 voters have been removed from Mizoram’s electoral rolls following the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), a senior official said. The exercise, which began on May 20, concluded on Sunday with all enumeration forms fully digitised, Mizoram Joint Chief Electoral Officer Ethel Rothangpuii told PTI. A total of 46,191 names were deleted from the electoral rolls for reasons including death, untraceable status, permanent migration and duplicate enrolments, she said.
