NEW DELHI, Aug 22 (Reuters) – Inflationary pressures in India caused by global uncertainty and domestic disruptions will require greater vigilance by the government and the Reserve Bank of India, the finance ministry said in its monthly economic report on Tuesday. The ministry’s comments come weeks after data showed retail inflation in July rose to its highest in 15 months, as vegetable and cereals prices skyrocketed. “Global uncertainty and domestic disruptions may keep inflationary pressures elevated for the coming months, warranting greater vigilance by Government and the RBI,” the government said. COVID-19 infection linked with high blood pressure in adults, finds study

Washington [US], August 22 (ANI): According to new research published in Hypertension, an American Heart Association journal, an analysis of electronic medical records for over 45,000 people found that Covid-19 infection was significantly associated with the development of high blood pressure. “While Covid-19 is typically more severe in patients with preexisting high blood pressure, including higher rates of hospitalization and mortality compared to people with normal blood pressure, it is unknown whether the SARS-CoV-2 virus may trigger the development of high blood pressure or worsen preexisting hypertension,” said senior study author Tim Q.
