New Delhi [India], November 25 (ANI): The CBI has initiated an investigation against TMC MP Mahua Moitra to look into ‘quid pro quo’ allegations of raising questions in Parliament, sources said on Saturday. Unique punishment for delay: Officers ordered to serve students with disabilities

New Delhi, Nov 25 (PTI) The Disability Affairs Department has meted out a unique punishment to the officers — serve students with disabilities for five days — found responsible for delaying by four years updating the category of an employee to PwD in the service book. Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities Rajesh Aggarwal expressed strong disapproval of state-owned MTNL’s failure to just change the category of the complainant employee from General to the PwD. Nov 25, 2023 – A new study says we can slow down aging by 2% to 3% if we lower the number of calories we eat by 25%. That may seem like a little benefit for a large cut in calories. Public health groups, doctors urge for hike in tobacco tax

New Delhi, Nov 25 (PTI) Public health groups along with doctors and economists have urged the government to increase excise duty on all tobacco products in the Union Budget 2024-25 to generate additional revenue. In their appeals to the Finance Ministry, they asked for an increase in health taxes on cigarettes, bidis and smokeless tobacco. Health taxes are excise taxes imposed on products such as tobacco that have a clear negative public health impact.
