NDTV loan case: Delhi court accepts CBI closure report

New Delhi, Jan 23 (PTI) A Delhi court on Thursday accepted a closure report filed by the CBI in an alleged case of irregularities by the ICICI Bank in accepting loan repayment from NDTV, saying “it appeared to be satisfactory”. Special judge Shailender Malik accepted the closure report after going through the report, and the submissions made by the CBI, and the complainant in the case, who said he did not want to file any “protest petition” as he was satisfied with the investigation. ANKARA, Turkey, January 23, 2025 (AP) — Turkey’s central bank lowered its key interest rate by 2.5 percentage points to 45% on Thursday, in its second rate cut in as many months as official figures showed inflation was easing. The bank’s Monetary Policy Committee said it was reducing its benchmark one-week repo rate to 45% from the current 47.5%. In its previous reduction in December, the bank also cut the rate by 2.5 percentage points.
