New Delhi, May 30 (PTI) Gold prices rose Rs 100 to Rs 98,600 per 10 grams in the national capital on Friday due to a pick-up demand by the jewellers and retailers, according to the All India Sarafa Association. The precious metal of 99.5 per cent purity climbed Rs 100 to Rs 98,100 per 10 grams (inclusive of all taxes). In addition, silver prices remained flat for the second straight session at Rs 1,00,000 per kg (inclusive of all taxes) on Friday. New Delhi, May 30 (PTI): The CBI has arrested a deputy director of the Enforcement Directorate in Odisha for allegedly taking a Rs 20 lakh bribe from a Bhubaneswar based businessman, officials said Friday. Mumbai, May 30 (PTI): Benchmark stock indices Sensex and Nifty declined in early trade on Friday, dragged by IT shares and sluggish trends in Asian markets. Mumbai, May 30 (PTI) The rupee strengthened by 19 paise to 85.29 against the US dollar in early trade on Friday on the back of lower crude oil prices and sustained foreign fund inflows. Forex traders said a firm greenback and volatile stock markets capped the rupee’s gain even as market participants stayed cautious ahead of the release of domestic GDP data.
