Rupee falls 24 paise to 85.93 against US dollar in early trade
Mumbai, Mar 27 (PTI) The rupee depreciated 24 paise to 85.93 against the US dollar in early trade on Thursday, as US President Donald Trump’s tariff policies reignited fears of a global trade war, fuelling inflation concerns and causing ripple effects across currency markets. The US dollar strengthened after Trump late on Wednesday announced long-promised 25 per cent tariffs on automotive imports, set to take effect on April 2.
