NEW DELHI, Jan 17 (Reuters) – Indian and Chinese soldiers clashed at least two times in 2022 along their Himalayan frontier where they have been involved in a bitter standoff since 2020, according to new details that have emerged from the Indian Army’s gallantry award citations. ED questions former Haryana CM Bhupinder Hooda in money laundering case

New Delhi, Jan 17 (PTI) Former Haryana chief minister and senior Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda was on Wednesday questioned by the ED in connection with a money laundering investigation into alleged irregularities in land acquisition at Manesar during 2004-07, official sources said. The agency recorded the statement of the 76-year-old Hooda under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), they said. Fog cover reduces over parts of north India

New Delhi, Jan 17 (PTI) The layer of early-morning fog over the Indo-Gangetic plains in north India thinned in some parts on Wednesday, officials said. Satellite imagery showed a reduction in fog over Bihar, eastern Uttar Pradesh, northern Madhya Pradesh and Delhi. However, dense fog continues to prevail over parts of Punjab, Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. A spokesperson for the Indian Railways said 20 trains arriving in Delhi were delayed by up to five hours due to foggy weather.
