Lok Sabha adjourned till noon as opposition protests continue

NEW DELHI, Aug 10 (PTI): Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned till 12 noon on Monday amid noisy protest by the Opposition, which is seeking a response from the government on police action on protesting students and alleged theft of Ram temple donations.

N K Premachandran of the RSP, who was chairing the House, adjourned the proceedings within seconds of the House meeting for the day, while the first question during the Question Hour was taken up.

Speaker Om Birla, who usually presides over the Question Hour, did not chair the House on Monday morning.
