Dr Saurabh Sethi, a Harvard-educated gastrointestinal expert, has revealed a straightforward trick that he believes could take years off your looks. Addressing his 505,000 followers on TikTok, Dr Sethi spoke about putting a glass of lemon water in your daily water consumption to help reduce signs of ageing.
The 42-year-old medic said that that regular consumption of lemon water over a month could help make you look younger. In his TikTok video, he said: “Lemons are packed with 30 different beneficial plant compounds.”
He continued: “Freshly squeezed lemon juice is the best, as it has not gone through pasteurisation so it retains more nutrients.”
He further explained that due to their natural acidity, lemons enhance mineral absorption, notably iron. Adding to its impressive profile, he continued: “They are also a great source of vitamin C, which supports collagen production, and is essential for healthy skin, joints and connective tissue.”
While lemon water isn’t a limitless fountain of youth, it can contribute to a healthier, more radiant complexion that may make you look younger. According to the Mirror, it’s believed to boost collagen production, reduce free radical damage, and support liver function, all of which are beneficial for skin health.
