Raipur, 22 September: Former Chhattisgarh Home Minister, senior BJP leader, and Rampur MLA Nanki Ram Kanwar has demanded to cancel the appointment given to retired IAS, IPS, IFS officers by giving extension on contractual posts by the Congress government.
He has written a letter to the President, Governor, Prime Minister, Union Home Minister, Chief Election Commissioner New Delhi, Chief Electoral Officer Raipur demanding that elections are to be held in the year 2023 and the Congress government has appointed retired IAS, IPS, IFS officers against the rules.
The responsibility of important posts has been given to the retired officers by making contractual appointments.
The government has given an extension whose intentions do not seem right. Neither does the state government have the right to extend the extension period beyond 2 years nor is there any provision for it.
Before the contractual appointment for the central post, the Central Government was not even informed about it, nor was permission sought for the appointment, yet the appointment has been made.
Shri Kanwar has asked whether the Congress government has a shortage of IAS, IPS, IFS officers or is there no capable officer?
If there is shortage, a demand letter should be sent to the Central Government.
The Congress government has continuously appointed the retired officers against the rules.
Assembly poll is to be held in the year 2023 and Lok Sabha elections in 2024 and the state government wants to use them politically.
Shri Kanwar mentioned the names of the retired officers D.D.Singh, A.K Ananth, Rakesh Chaturvedi, J.S Rao Forest Medicinal Plants Board, Alok Shukla, Vivek Dhandh, Dhananjay Dewangan, S. S. Bajaj, Rai Singh Thakur, Niranjan Das, SPS Srivastava, DM Awasthi, Ashok Juneja, Sanjay Pillay, Amrit Khalkho and Sanjay Shukla, accodingly, he has demanded to cancel their contractual appointment.
