New Delhi, Jul 31 (PTI) Senior IPS officer S B K Singh on Thursday took over as Commissioner of Delhi Police.
Singh, a 1988-batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre, succeeds Sanjay Arora to the top post.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday, Singh has been given additional charge as the police chief.
He assumed charge after being accorded a guard of honour at the police headquarters.
