A greengrocer has claimed ginger can make a real difference to women’s health.

Raul Cardaba says ginger is nature’s answer to reducing bleeding and easing menstrual cramps.

He’s become the trusted fruit vendor for numerous Spanish families, not simply due to the convenience of his Madrid shop, Frutería Vitaminas. His reach extends far beyond his storefront, with his impactful advice on social media.

He went on to claim that ginger can serve “like ibuprofen, but natural, that’s the interesting part, relieving the pain you feel”. He also noted ginger’s potential to curb menstrual bleeding.

The most of the studies show promising evidence that ginger can help relieve pain in people who have osteoarthritis, the most common form of arthritis that’s due to the breakdown of or damage to joint cartilage.

According to studies, ginger contains vitamins and minerals including vitamin C, vitamin B6, magnesium, potassium, copper, manganese, fiber and water.

Although Raul Cardaba admitted candidly: “This is the theory. I obviously haven’t verified it,” making clear he lacks personal experience with ginger’s menstrual benefits, he’s eager to educate followers and beckoned them to test the theory themselves: “I want to share it with you and I want you to verify it to clear any doubts.”

His followers were quick to respond, with over 300 comments flooding in, many sharing that ginger had helped them with various ailments from menstrual cramps to coughs.

He’s become a go-to guru for all things fruit and veg. His latest tutorials on peeling pumpkins and pomegranates, along with tips on exotic produce like coconuts, soursop, Chinese grapefruit, or ‘light’ avocado, have been a huge hit.
